If you’re in Austin (or within driving distance) come out to the Capitol City Crux comp at the North Austin Rock Gym. The purse for finals is up to $1000, so it could totally be worth your while (cough… Sierra… Nina… cough).
Competition is going to be steep - several national youth champions are coming in from Dallas and Houston. I predict an action packed finals w/ problems on the newly renovated “Big Pig”, a 20+ foot highball wall w/ 2 feet of padding. Regardless of whether you make finals though it’s going to be a good time.
I’ll be there all day. Come up and say howdy!

Had a great time at Citizens’ Nationals. Met my goal and climbed as hard as I ever have! Knocked off my lowest score with one second remaining - felt like a boss.

Today I watched most of the country’s pros (as well as a good deal of USA Climbing’s Junior category) onsight five very, very hard problems. I might have been able to climb one of them if I had a few weeks to work it - not the 4 min they had for each.
Stoked to climb the Citizens’ comp tomorrow afternoon, and then to sit back and watch finals!
